Asset Integrity & Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) Program Management System

Kissflow schedules the mechanical integrity inspection for every fixed asset, pressure vessel, storage tank, and process piping circuit, against a risk-based ranking under API 580/581, routes a finding straight to CAPA, and rolls up compliance across the whole program for engineering.

A vessel that has not been risk-ranked is a vessel whose next inspection date is a guess.

A process plant's mechanical integrity program covers every pressure vessel, storage tank, and piping circuit on site, each one carrying its own damage mechanism, corrosion rate, and consequence of failure, and API 580 and 581 expect that risk profile to drive the inspection interval rather than a flat calendar applied across the board. Without a system tracking risk ranking against inspection due dates, a low-risk vessel and a genuinely high-risk one end up on the same generic schedule, and the plant either over-inspects the assets that were never really at risk or under-inspects the ones that are.

Kissflow ranks every fixed asset by risk under the RBI methodology, schedules inspection intervals directly from that ranking, executes the inspection against a reusable template with photo and measurement evidence, and routes a finding into a tracked corrective action with a named owner instead of a report that sits unread.

Distinct from Pipeline Integrity Management, which is scoped to linear pipeline assets, this program covers static, fixed process equipment, so a plant's mechanical integrity dashboard reflects vessels and tanks specifically, not line segments.

Where a mechanical integrity program drifts from a real risk basis

Inspection intervals are flat

Every vessel gets the same calendar-based interval regardless of actual risk.

Risk ranking is a static document

An RBI study gets done once and does not update as inspection history accumulates.

Findings do not route anywhere

An inspection report identifies a problem with no tracked corrective action.

No program-level view

Nobody can see which assets in the mechanical integrity program are overdue.

Six modules. Every fixed asset scheduled by real risk, not a flat calendar.

Configure RBI criteria and inspection templates by asset class.

Asset register and risk ranking

Every vessel, tank, and piping circuit on site is registered and ranked by risk under the RBI methodology directly.

RBI-driven scheduling

Inspection intervals are set directly from that individual risk ranking, replacing a flat calendar schedule entirely.

Inspection execution

A reusable inspection template is executed against each scheduled asset, keeping every inspection consistent.

Findings-to-CAPA

A finding automatically opens a tracked corrective action with a named owner and a firm due date attached.

Evidence capture

Inspection results are captured with photo and measurement evidence attached directly to the asset's record.

Mechanical integrity dashboard

Every asset's inspection status and any open finding rolls up into one live mechanical integrity dashboard.

From request to system of record in four steps

Initiate

Initiate

Every fixed asset, pressure vessel, storage tank, or process piping circuit, is ranked for risk under the plant's API 580/581 RBI methodology, and inspection intervals are set from that ranking rather than a flat calendar.

Conduct

Conduct

Inspections run against a template, with photo and measurement evidence captured in the field.

Flag

Flag

A finding opens a tracked corrective action routed straight to CAPA, so a gap never falls between the check and the fix.

Record

Record

Results, evidence, and sign-off are stored, and mechanical integrity compliance rolls up across the whole program for engineering.

Connects to your CMMS and inspection data management system; Kissflow does not replace your engineering system of record

Kissflow runs the RBI ranking, scheduling, and CAPA layer. Your CMMS and IDMS stay the system of record for detailed inspection engineering data.

Built for how a mechanical integrity program actually needs to run on risk

Scheduled by risk, not a flat calendar

A high-risk vessel and a low-risk one get appropriately different attention.

Findings that route to a real action

A CAPA opens automatically instead of a report sitting unread.

One program-level view

Overdue assets across the whole mechanical integrity program are visible at once.

Live in weeks

Configure RBI criteria in the visual builder, or describe the use case to the AI Builder.

Governed from day one

Role-based access and a full audit trail on every inspection and finding.

One view for reliability and inspection teams

Every asset's status visible to everyone responsible for it.

We help mechanical integrity teams schedule inspection by real risk, not a flat calendar

No. Your CMMS and IDMS stay the system of record for detailed inspection engineering data. Kissflow runs the RBI ranking, scheduling, and CAPA layer.

This program covers static, fixed process equipment: vessels, tanks, and piping. Pipeline Integrity Management is scoped specifically to linear pipeline assets and ILI runs.

Yes, intervals are driven by the current risk ranking, which updates as new inspection data comes in.

Yes, a failed or flagged inspection line opens a tracked CAPA with an owner and due date.

Yes, corrosion and thickness data from a monitoring program can inform the risk ranking.

Yes, a dashboard rolls up every asset's inspection status and open findings.

Configuration and AI-assisted app generation move delivery from a multi-month program to a matter of weeks.
