Why Manual Systems Won’t Survive the 2030 Renewable Push
Spokesperson : Rakesh N
In this recent interview with Asian Business Review, Rakesh Nandakumar - VP, APAC, Kissflow and Maria Mitch Cabigon, CIO of SN Aboitiz Group discussed how APAC companies have been told to drop Manual Systems as 2030 Renewable Deadline Nears.
As the global push to triple renewable energy capacity by 2030 intensifies, energy companies are being urged to abandon manual processes and embrace digital transformation or risk falling behind. Industry leaders say relying on outdated workflows and “throwing people at problems” won’t be enough to stay competitive in the rapidly evolving renewables landscape.
According to experts, many Asia-Pacific firms are lagging in digital adoption, with a large majority acknowledging they could do more to accelerate their transition but only a small percentage fully leveraging digital tools and setting robust net-zero targets.
Executives highlight that investing in automation and modern systems is essential not just for operational efficiency, but also to unlock opportunities and drive growth in the renewables sector as the 2030 deadline approaches.
