Challenges faced

  • Manual processes. Soldo used emails to track its purchases. The process was time-consuming and inefficient.

  • Visibility on purchases. The managers and stakeholders lacked visibility into what purchases were made and by whom. They lost control over their spend and ran into unnecessary expenditure.

  • Disparate systems. Soldo used multiple disjointed systems to manage purchase orders. There was no single source of truth for their expenses, which increased their spend.

Solution

Freshly infused with a series C funding of $180 million, Soldo grew at an average of 10% month-on-month post-pandemic. This increase in headcount also led to a rise in expenses, increased opportunity for delegation, and accelerated the need for a procurement system.

Until then, Soldo didn't have a system in place, and they found it highly challenging for non-IT users to make a purchase. The approval processes were time-consuming and scattered all over the place. They were using emails for approvals and orders and had no control over which budget line the expenses were coming from.

Soldo wanted to streamline procurement and adopt a mature process. Their primary requirement was to take control of accounts payable, order approval, and invoice generation. With Kissflow, Soldo automated all their procurement-related processes end-to-end, saving the team countless manhours and effort.

The low-code platform's easy-to-use and intuitive interface helped business users quickly build processes without IT dependency, significantly reducing the time to market. Moreover, Kissflow has also reduced the burden on IT drastically as business users are able to automate processes on their own, in turn reducing their growing backlog.

Results

With a single integrated platform, Soldo streamlined its procurement process end-to-end. Implementing Kissflow as a unified central system helped them increase operational efficiency. They significantly reduced the time and effort usually involved in a manual process. Soldo also gained visibility and control while reducing risk exposure.
