Salish Kootenai College
Salish Kootenai College, located in Pablo, Montana, is an educational institution catering to the educational needs of North American Indian Tribes in the region. Challenges faced

Paper-based processes. Salish Kootenai College's HR processes were completely manual and were carried out using hundreds of paper-based forms.

Lack of accountability. Since paper-based processes were hard to track, there was no accountability among employees.

Productivity. The productivity of employees was impacted because of the time-consuming, manual paperwork.
Solution
Like every other organization, SKC too has processes to manage its human resource effectively. Just as it has been the case at numerous organisations, SKC had their HR processes carried out traditionally, with bunches of papers flowing through corridors of people who carried out their designated tasks as and when they could. The agony caused by using papers in workflows drove Al and his team to look out for a solution to automate their HR processes.
We got in touch with Al and his team a little after three months of their implementing Kissflow at their institution. SKC was already benefiting from automating its employee onboarding process. Processes that took two weeks or more to complete were now getting done within a day!
By automating HR workflows, the HR department gets a clear picture of its existing human resource and are well informed on each employee’s tenure. They get a heads-up before the contract expires or before an employee takes a vacation. This gives them enough time to find replacements without much hassle.
